Stupid Jungle Animal, founded by myself kristofer, in MMVIII, rose to life through countless years of love and dedication to art and design, and the absorption of fashion and brands throughout the years. It is a label that I wish to use in order to shed light on a different way of seeing life, in that we just need to take it easy, slow down, and smell the roses; so to speak. Don’t fret the small stuff; cause it’s all small stuff in the end! Each & every garment is designed with the utmost attention and care, for a quality outcome in each product. I will leave it at that, let your mind wander, I gave the basis, now you take it further!

Just yesterday we reported about the opening of the Wood Wood and Lego Brickism exhibition, which showcased Lego sculptures created by some great artists. Today we can finally give you a clean look at the outcome of the works by So_Me, Delta, Will Sweeney and HuskMitNavn. The outcome is great and definitely worth checking out.

On August 14th the latest exhibition by French artist Space Invader opened its doors. Entitled “Low Fidelity”, the artist showcases large scale sculptures, prints and other interesting pieces, with the inspiration of his art being very obvious. These days you find the mosaic artworks of Space Invader all over the world. If you want to have a more comprehensive look at his work, go check out the new exhibition at Lazarides Rathbone in London, which is open until September 17th

As part of the Nike Sportswear Fall/Winter 2009 Co-Lab series, they worked with UK designer Mark Ward. The designer worked on a nylon bomber jacket, heavily influenced by its classic counterparts, using embroideries and patches on the upper. The jacket comes in silver/blue and black/grey and is now available from the Nike Store.

Undefeated has just released first pieces from their Fall 2009 Collection. Today we show you their collection lookbook, showing off key pieces from the new line in its environment in LA. The brands sticks to its athletic roots, which are apparent in each and every piece of the collection. They also present their adidas Rod Laver collaboration sneaker in the lookbook.

The Hundreds.

It looks like The Hundreds have their hands on yet another accessories project, this time working up a pair of sunglasses. The shades feature a tortoise motif accented with a The Hundreds script. Stay tuned for further details as they become available.

Married To The Mob presents the first part of their Fall 2009 Collection, this time featuring Teyana Taylor. The lookbook looks great and we feel like the brand made a huge step in the right direction concerning their cut-and-sew. Until now we always liked their t-shirts, fleece pieces and accessories, but now the cut-and-sew also feels very round. Look out for a release of the first drop soon.

Asics has released the GT-2 Mountain for Fall 2009. The sneaker is a hiking boot inspired mid top, based on the GT-2 running shoe from Asics. It comes in three colorways this season, some more colorful than others. All of them feature a tonal embroidery pattern on the toe box. The sneaker is now available at Flauge.

As part of their Fall 2009 Collection Billionaire Boys Club presents their chukka in denim. The upper comes in raw denim and an all-over logo print. The lining and laces are white, the sole comes in dark beige. These will be released later this month for 230 USD. We could have lived without the print and a more subtle logo placement on the tongue. Via Complex.

San Francisco based label HUF continues their progression into a full-on menswear line with an impressive Fall 2009 Collection. The pieces that will be dropping in the upcoming weeks run the gamut from the standard graphic tees and various 5 panel, snapback and New Era headwear to more contemporary mountain parkas and two pocket oxfords. A well-thought out approach to colors, patterns and materials separates the men from the boys for this branding focused label. More info on release dates soon.

KiD CuDi’s official Man On the Moon: The End of Day cover art has been revealed. Initially pushed back due to issues including the album art, the debut album is now locked down for a September 15th, 2009 release. Man On the Moon: The End of Day will come in two versions – a standard CD release and a Deluxe Edition DVD – each adorned with differing artwork.

A really funny new backpack comes from Mishka NYC, as part of a collaboration with Colt 45 and Vice Magazine. The classic backpack comes in blue with a beige suede bottom and a multitude of patches on the upper. The backpack is exclusively available at the Mishka flagship store in Brooklyn.

LA-based Undefeated releases another batch of sportswear inspired gear for Fall 2009. Consisting of New Era caps, t-shirts and long sleeve tees, the first drop features several classic logo pieces alongside a prominent “All Good” motif. Available Saturday, August 15th, 2009 at all UNDFTD chapter and web stores.

After already showing you some first new sneaker styles from the Alife Fall 2009 Collection, here comes a further preview of what there is to come. The NYC brand presents their low top Court Cup, Everybody High All-Over, Everybody High Americas Cup, Everybody Mid Black Suede and the Mono Aplique. All in all solid styles from their footwear line. Furthermore Alife has also released a new organic cotton polo shirt, which comes in black and white with a small logo hit on the chest.

Diamond Supply Co. has significantly increased the size of their collection this coming Summer 2009 season. From a brand that was best known for its t-shirts in the clothing game, they present in their new collection snapback caps, fitted caps, 5-panel caps, belts, wallets and other accessories, as well as shorts and several denim pieces. Bringing another cartoon franchise to the world of vinyl, Kidrobot’s latest licensed release featured another Matt Groening-created favorite in Futurama. Recently hitting stores following a July preview, the collection boasts a series of detailed 3-inch figures similar to previous The Simpsons collection. A total of 12 figures plus 2 chase figures come together in the 14 character collection. Available now at Kidrobot and select dealers including Foosh.

Hooking up with cutting-edge French designer Romain Kremer, Berlin-based eyewear company Mykita unveil a new pair of sunglasses, simply dubbed, the Romain. The shades feature a stainless steel frame with shutter lenses to protect from the sun’s deadly rays. Slated to drop in November 2009, two colorways will be made available to select Mykita Eyewear stockists.
